Description of Practice

My mission is to serve Christians, Christian businesses and churches, by keeping their disputes out of the court system. By applying God’s Word, the Bible, and the civil laws of the land in order to facilitate peaceful problem resolution, I serve God and protect the reputation of His followers and thereby, His reputation. Christian Mediation helps to spare believers, Christian businesses and churches from the shame, the pain, and the emotional and financial losses that so often occur during the process of litigation. David L. Rose has been actively engaged in trial, appellate and mediation practice for over twenty-three years with an emphasis on high conflict and complex family law matters. David’s practice also deals with all aspects of family relationships including divorce, child custody and legal decision making, valuation and division of community property, spousal support, actions involving domestic violence and orders of protection and international custody matters. David is one of a few lawyers in Arizona certified as a Family Law Specialist by the State Bar of Arizona. As a former judge pro tempore with the Maricopa County Superior Court between 2002 and 2013, David conducted hundreds of settlement conferences and mediations.

Experience

I was a judge pro tempore with the Maricopa County Superior Court for 15 years, where I successfully mediated hundreds of complex family situations.

Degrees

University of Colorado, B.A. Physics and Energy Sciences, (1980) Arizona State University, J.D. (1991) Arizona College of Trial Advocacy (1995)

Approach

My initial approach is to get the parties to understand that I am a neutral. I am not on anyone's side. My goal is help people resolve their difficulties with grace. After the parties understand my role, I verify that each of them truly want to mediate and discuss the role of compromise. Then I find out what they agree on and then get into the sticky matters.

Fees

My fees are either a flat fee for a half day, full day or $300.00 per hour.
